Generally we can't get Lise Watier products here--I learned this when I was wanting to try one of their concealers I think. It looks like a nice line to me. I haven't tried many drugstore brands in general (Almay) because it's hard to test them or get samples. I need samples!

Updates on Smashbox and Bobbi Brown:

Smashbox, lightest color, blends well, is very light--too light colored than me, which is very good for women with alabaster skin. It was unscented. It dried well, but was a bit masklike and matte--so good if you like that finish. It behaved in my view more like a foundation than a BB cream.

Bobbi Brown, also very light in color and easy to blend. The next darker color is yellow toned, so this might prove difficult for you if you need a fairly light pink/blue toned color. It felt more like foundation than anything else. I was strongly scented, and even after washing my hands several times, I could still smell it--so that's a big negative for me.

I can't get them locally anymore either sadly. I really loved their cleanser product and mascara. I guess I could order them online, but thats just not as much fun! Lol. The local shoppers here no longer stocks them, though I have been in other ones that do.

One important point I should note is this: if you use Asian BB creams, or Japanese sunscreens, you should be sure to thoroughly cleanse your face each evening to prevent breakouts. Some may come off with soap, others may require an oil cleanser (or the Oil Cleansing Method--OCM), or cold cream. If you experience breakouts just using soap or mild cleanser, try these other more complete methods before giving up on BB cream.

That's too bad--I hate when I have a product that I love that I can't easily get anymore.

Ok, I went to the drug store today.

marcelle has two BB creams- only one has SPF rating and anti-aging properties. Colour wise, they are they are the same. I tested both on my wrist and they were a bit too dark for me in the lightest form. I would be able to wear them in summer though. Retail 28$, can be bought for 22$ online.

annibelle has BB cream as well, in more colours, and retail 13$ at the moment. Tried it above the marcelle two, and the colour was ok (tried the lightest) but the composition seemed a bit runny, I bet its sheer.

I tried the Stila- apparently one shade fits all, but its orangey on me and the smell put me off as well.

I bought the smashbox- it had the highest SPF rating, the colour matched closely, and although at 50$ it rivalled the Stila in price, I had a 10$ off coupon for the store, and can return it within thirty days if it is really off. I have it on, and I will say coverage seems to be good, though I look a bit pale. That being said, I am pale, and I can't see a makeup line, so its likely just me.

Clinique also had a BB I believe but I didn't try it, I didn't even look at the loreal etc section, and I almost traded the smashbox in for the gosh one on the way out of the store. If I return it, I will probably get that one, though it is a bit shimmery.

They had no samples I could take home sadly, and I also didn't get any samples in my bag

No samples!

I'm glad you found one that you like. I found the Smashbox to be too opaque, but maybe it's because I have dry skin. The Stila is a great color for me when I have a bit of a tan, but now that it's fall, it's too dark for me too. I do like the beneficial ingredients in it. I haven't heard of gosh, I guess I'll have to go check it out!

Thank you so much for all of this information. I am pasty faced and so many things turn orange on me. I always thought I was a freak. I like a natural look without too much caked on but still like to even out my tones. I will definitely look into these! I have been told that I am peaches and cream whatever that means. For me it just means finding good makeup is darn near impossible.

I will be taking the smashbox back unfortunately. It makes my face itchy!

SerinaDaith, Your skin tone sounds like mine. What colors of foundation do you wear? Many Asian BB creams come in quite light colors--so that should help you. American BB creams vary--some are dark, some are light, and some have a variety. Keep an eye on colors that work for me, as they might also work for you.

FrozenBritannia, I'm so sorry.

I have 3 BB creams on the way to me (all Korean), so more reviews coming. I've also decided I want to sample Estee Lauder's BB cream, so I will be popping into Nordstrom for a sample of that too.
