Default Does anyone have a Recumbent Bike?

And if you do, do you have bad knees? How do you like it?

I had a recumbent trike.
I did feel a bit more knee strain, but i built muscle to compensate.
More of an issue was my hips, amazingly. I "credit" the lousy seat more than the angle.
Is there any place local you could rent one for a week?

I think Medicaid will cover it. If the seat is wonky, I'll make them change it, LOL.

I suggest a rental as a try out period.
Within a week you will know if it is puppy love or the real thing.

Well, it's kind of going to have to be a fact, whether I like it or not. I need some exercise and this is my last go at it. I plan on visiting the store next week, so I'll try out some of the bikes and see what feels comfy.

Glad you get to try them out.
I'm thinking the bikes weigh significantly less than trikes.
Mesh seats are cooler on the skin. The formed seats have some support, but seats can be swapped out.

See if the angle for your legs differs on each bike. Likely they will, so pay close attention to what strains to pedal.

You're talking stationary bike or a mode of transportation, Justy? I have a recumbent stationarybike in my livingroom. I like it (better than the upright one I tried; recumbents don't crush your girlybits!) and have it in front of the TV so hubs and I can switch off when we're just sitting around, vegging out on the Tube.
