Do you wear your liner on the outside of your lid or the inside?

Coffeestaind, I can't speak for Truepenny, but if I would use pencil eyeliner to line the waterline if I were you. I don't think using liquid eyeliner so close to the eye (in the waterline) is a good idea. Plus it may be easier to find white eyeliner in pencil form.

I don't wear makeup for everyday, but when I put it on, I line either the waterline or just under my lash line. Since I'm not a spring chicken anymore, I stay away from the white. I use olive, teal, or chocolate brown. (I'm fair, with hennaed hair, and round eyes.)

Outside always. It never stays on the inside for me, always smudges out onto the outside of my lid and looks horrid.

Very interested in this white eye liner talk. I have tiny eyes and this sounds promising! I've never seen anyone in real life with it done tho, so I'm a bit worried it will look fake or odd somehow. Has anyone else spotted people wearing it that way and how did it look?

As for normal eyeliner, when I wear it its always along the outside of the top lid, then optionally outside the outer edge of my lower lashes and the waterline (in that additive order). Mostly black. Usually pencil and occasionally liquid on the top lid.

ETA: for those that find it smudges easily, try 'fixing' it with a black (or same colour if liner isn't black) powder eyeshadow on top of the liner.
