I used to use my fingers but find that a brush gives me a more even finish and is tidier (i don't need to wash my hands between picking stuff up!). I use an ecotools retractable foundation brush, I love it and wouldn't go back to using my fingers now. Surprisingly it doesn't get 'gunked up' at all, but I always get as much BB cream off it onto my face/neck as I can and try not to leave excess on there

I used to apply with my fingers, but I read once about using a damp sponge for a smoother & lighter look. I liked the results. Maybe we should start a new thread about HOW everyone applies their makeup
