Default FOUND THEM!!! (velcro straighteners!)

http://www.velcro.com/consumer/products_sl.htm

Aaah! Look what I found!!!! I was actually researching different types of velcro on velcro.com and stumbled across them! So I'm hoping that we can order them straight from the site instead of having to make them. (though I am a little sad, seeing as how my crafty side had just started to get warmed up LOL)

So spread the word to anyone who has mentioned wanting to find these! I think our problem was we were searching for the specific brand of velcro straighteners, but that brand just doesn't make them anymore. The answer was right under my nose the whole time LOL.

Yay!!! No more flat-iron damage!!!!!

*jumps for joy*

ETA: I clicked on 'where to buy' and it lists Sally Beauty Supply, among a bunch of other stores... so hopefully they just sell them there and we can all be super happy! hehe.

I didn't realise that those were what you were referring to! We actually have those at Boots even, our main pharmaceuticals store. I can't use those type of rollers in my hair, unfortunately, since they just stick there and, when I get them out, cause a *huge* amount of frizz in my hair! But if they work for you then congratulations on finding them!

While I see the photo of the straigteners, I don't see it mentioned in the chart.

I don't know what luck you'll have at the stores, but maybe you can buy them from the site?

Glad you found them

I didn't read the previous disucssions about velcro, but would like to offer that jumbo magnetic rollers will straighten your hair without the potential damage from velcro.

Yeah I contacted them, we'll see what they say. I think even the large velcro rollers would work better than nothing. I guess I can still see about making them.... maybe if I can figure out what type of velcro to use. sigh.

AnimaSola, I did a wet set a few days ago with mainly the largest roller in the set (a couple of the next 2 sizes down) and I came out with fabulous, silky soft hair. It wasn't stick straight, it looked more like 70s & 80s hair with big, soft waves.

I couldv'e probably gotten straighter with even bigger rollers.

Mine was a nice conair set from Walgreens.
