Arnica essential oil (commonly recommended for bruising) is meant to be good for dark circles, as are chamomile and sandalwood. You have to be very careful around the eyes, make sure the essential oils are well diluted in a carrier oil. I purchased some arnica oil that is diluted to 5% in sunflower oil, and I think it is helping (plus, obviously, my eyes get a bit of a massage whenever I apply it!)
