Default White Jeans

What seasons can you wear white jeans in?
I'm confused about this. I thought I heard once, they were only for the summer. Then last winter I heard all about "winter whites." A friend of mine said she was sure they would be fine in spring, too. I tried on the nicest pair at Ann Taylor but I don't want to buy them if I can't wear them all fall....
I'm in college, and I usually sort of follow my own sense of fashion. I don't want to look like too much of an oddball though.

As long as YOU look good in 'em (never felt comfortable with that look for myself), go for it. I don't think you'll look too odd.

Thanks for not thinking I would look odd!
They were so comfortable, and I sorta figured that as long as I wore decent colored shoes with them (not dark) they would most likey be fine. I'm just trying to think if I could wear sneakers with them....

It's definitely an all-season thing. It must have something to do with the old rule of no white after labor day.

HairColoredHair, so they are for all seasons? I'm still not sure about wearing them in the fall (I'm really into earthy colors during autumn). I probably would still wear them just not as often.
I thought of the memorial day to labor day thing too, you are saying that is out-dated or what?

I see absolutely no reason you can't wear them whenever you please.

As for the memorial to labor day 'rule' I think that's outdated... or at least it makes no sense to me.

http://www.ivillage.co.uk/beauty/bod...699946,00.html here's a good white jeans article on ivillage. I always heard it was just white shoes you couldn't wear after labor day...

Aw, thanks, that was an awesome link! I don't even think I have white shoes...So I guess I'm safe. I probably have a good figure for them, based off what the article says. I'm sure anyone could wear them though.

I have a few days off this week, maybe I'll call up a friend and hit the store! That would be nice...

Thanks so much guys

I bought them yesterday from Ann Taylor LOFT. They are so pretty and wicked soft (Their sizes run really large though!). The pants were originally sixty dollars and I paid fifteen...That was really cool

The fashion rule of "No White After Labor Day" no longer applies. Wear your white jeans whenever you want. I always wore white whenever I wanted anyway.
