Default Bangs Updates

Hi all who are on the same journey as me, growing out your bangs. I think it's update time.

I began growing out my very short bangs in November 2006. When I pull them straight down now, they are about three inches below my chin (beside my nose, not over it). I'm loving it because I can get them in most updos now. Anyone else want to share? It's a long road, isn't it?

Good for you. Growing bangs out takes forever. It is wonderful when they finally reach a length where you can put them up with the rest of your hair.

I have bangs.

I have no idea whether I'm going to keep them short as they grow longer or grow them out. I have no idea. xD

Shortest bit is to my eyebrows, longest to my chin. I'm hoping I can get it all to chin length by July then get a hair cut before my aunts wedding to put all my hair between chin and shoulder length. Damn all these flicky layers! XD

i started growing my fringe/bangs out from short above eyebrow in May last year and now they are about 1/2 inch below my chin. funny thing is you know when they get to about 1/2 way down your nose length and they turn into wings, then they kinda blend in well now mine have turned into wings again, plus my hair is a lot wavier at the fringe maybe this is why ive winged, no way would i cut my fringe back in though, they are hard work.
Great post by the way, keeps me motivated x

Mine are just barely to my chin now and most days I can make them appear to blend with the rest of my length which is currently shoulder length.
I suppose it's not quite as tedious to grow bangs out when the rest of your hair isn't all that long yet . . . but . . . it's still frustrating to have them fall out of your updo when you are trying to keep them back. I figure another couple of inches (3 or 4 months) aught to make my life easier. I almost cut them last week out of frustration but stopped myself. I think the 2 week rule is a good one.

It's great to hear about everyone's progress. Brokenwings, it doesn't sound as though you have all that much hair to grow out. I had full, thick bangs, had them all my life, and it was a major grow-out. Don't be sad. (((hugs)))

Don't give up, Silver & Gold. I know how annoying that stage is, but really, in a few more months you will see all the difference in the world. It's so worth it!

Lucky Franny! Mine are only about 1" past my chin. Sometimes I can manage to smooth them back enough that they'll stay put, but a gust of wind and I'm a mess

Mine are chin-length, and I had my hair in a ponytail today and they almost entirely stayed in!
