how do you control shine?

I'm having a problem controlling facial shine...I have a Clinique powder that helps immediately but it doesn't last.

I will admit that I am poor at moisturizing. Could that be a reason for excessive oil production?

I'd love to hear what others do to help combat shine.

Corn starch!!! It's light and it does stop the shine on me! It's also a nice sheer

Corn starch? Do you mean straight from the box or a product that includes corn starch? If it's a product, please let me know if you have any brand recommendations.

I know you can get that rice powder makeup; I've always sort of wanted to try it. Is your shine from oil, or just general shine?

It seems to get good reviews, though I think I'd personally consider getting just straight rice powder to try as well and might do so if I can ever find some in a store. I just don't need fragrance and all that.
