Default Clear Henna

Ok I know there is a couple of other henna questions here but I want to know if anyone has a answer for me.
I asked a web site that sells clear henna what the ingredients were and they said just plain henna root. I was actually looking for cassia but it's obviously not that , the web site says clear henna is recommended for all hair colours and imparts condition and shine and does not colour the hair.
So what does plain henna roots do would it be better than cassia obovata ?
Hmm I am like the other poster I miss the henna thread and always read it though not always post in it
Secretly and cheekily hoping the changes to the LHC include a Henna Forum [runs away to hide] [Yes I know there is a henna forum at hennaforhair but as so many of us henna it's just a secret wish]

From what you've just described, I think "clear henna" is cassia.
(I think I'll join you in running, as I agree about the need for a henna forum.)

Ah we'll get our running shoes on together
Do you mean that cassia is made from henna roots?

If you can track down a product called Rhazya Stricta you should get a really good result from that

I meant that the description of the "clear henna" seems to fit the description of cassia. Some folks are discussing it over here, which might help you out.

Different experts say different things, but on my neutral Henna, the INCI actually reads HENNA, not Cassia. I read that that's young Henna or something, but some other experts claim that that's not possible. I'm no expert .

No, cassia obovata is a completely different plant. I don't think henna roots do anything.

Thank you Andraste [I wanna call you nastasska ] and The BlondeApple. I have seen that one you talked about Andraste when I was first looking for henna I think at the health food shop is that bonavit brand ?
The one I have inquired about is called Plant essentials a Aussie web site. I have been trying to find the cheapest cassia or something like that it's very expensive .
Thanks again guys it's all very interesting
