Default Rebounders/mini trampolines

Do any of you own one? I am considering it.

I live in a small flat/apartment and do a lot of exercise indoors. I don't do enough cardio though and I wondered if this was a way of getting around that problem.

How big/wide are they on average? How much 'height' do you need for the exercises? (I don't want to hit the ceiling LOL). Do you use them to bounce or is it more like a suspension system, if you know what I mean? I have been thinking about a Reebok one. I can't go much more expensive than that so I'm looking at about 85/ just under $140.

Anyone able to offer any suggestions?

Please also talk about rebounders in general, how you use them, your favourite exercises, the beneficial effects etc.

Thanks!

All I know from personal experience is that I really disliked the one I had by Yogflex. So, so hard. Like trying to jump on concrete. Cheap, but not worth it, IMO.

I'm seriously lemming a Bellicon, but they're so expensive I'm not sure I'll ever take the plunge.

Less expensive than that is JumpSport, I hear they are excellent.

Not trying to run you away from this forum, but I've found tons of useful info on this forum: http://forum.videofitness.com/index.php

Looks like someone started a thread asking about rebounders in the UK

Just thought I'd point it out in case you missed it, it's kinda buried in the General Discussion board.

***UPDATE***

I have bought a fairly inexpensive rebounder and it is just the funnest thing ever (yes, I know funnest isn't a real word LOL!!)

It's slightly larger than I expected, but I've just about got room in my bedroom for it.

I hope it doesn't break. I'm pleased with it so far!

I'm glad you're having fun with it!!

I really want one, but the Yogflex I got super cheap was just not the one for me, so til I get spendy and buy a Bellicon, I'm gonna do without.

I *loved* my rebounder - no idea what brand, bought it used from a friend who was moving. Used it daily until it died (the fabric pulled loose from the edging and the springs began to pop). I would put it in the kitchen and jog on it while my coffee was making. Great way to get blood flowing in the morning, loosen up those muscles, limber up those joints. Maybe I'll get another.... very tempting in winter when it's no fun to walk outdoors.
