Justy is absolutely right. It was not until I began keeping track of calories and making sure I got the proper amount in, that I began to lose weight. I lost 20 lbs in a little under a year - mostly what happened was I just built up muscle mass and lost fat.
Anyway, I no longer count calories because I have a good idea off the top of my head how many calories are in the food I eat. But it definitely was the first step to losing the weight I gained and making sure I was eating healthfully.
I used Myfitnesspal.com for calorie and exercise logging.
