Dropping in for a visit...
Hello all,

It has been some time since I last visited the hair boards. I thought I would
pop back in to say hello to many familiar and wonderful names! :grinhappy:

Hope all has been well with everyone!

KM, it is very good to see you again! I have wondered how you are doing many times and for quite a while. I hope life is treating you kindly and that you are happy. What is new, how are the hollyhocks and gourds, and how is your amazing mane? :lafhard:

Teacherbear February 26th, 2008 08:58 PM

Karen?!?! OMG it is so great to see you!!! ((((hugs))))

ACCOLADY February 26th, 2008 09:06 PM

Oh how fun to see the two of you!

Jen, I no longer have the mane. Nope. Wednesday of last week
I fell to the fatal scissors. I'm still trying to decide what happened,
or why I did it, but I'm starting all over again. I even had bangs cut,
after all those years of complaining about it. It takes but a minute
to lose it all. If my tears will condition what is left, I should be alright.

Teach, how wonderful to see you here, and in charge at that! It
feels like getting a hug posting on this board! Sorry to hear LHC is
down with problems. Hope all is going to work out alright.

Oh, if only I'd come for a visit a week ago!

Wow! It is good to see you here! :flower: I'm sure the new hair looks beautiful. LHC should be back up soon. Hope to see you (and the new 'do) there again as well.

Teacherbear February 26th, 2008 09:30 PM

I'm sure it looks great, Karen!

Just to catch you up, I grew my hair to fingertip length, but it was EXTREMELY thin. Summer 2006 I cut to BSL. Grew to about tailbone, then cut again at Christmas (2007) to about BSL. I doubt I'll ever go really long again. I really like BSL to Tailbone length best.

In for a visit...
Hi Jennifer! So good to see all these familiar faces, I just wish
I'd brought cheese and chocolate!

Teach, that's really good that you experienced different levels
of your hair. While I enjoyed my hair at longer lengths, I found it
was much easier to care for at knee length for myself. At present,
gosh, I can't even find a measuring tape these days, LOL, I don't
even know how long (err, short) it is right now.

It is about waist length, a tad longer, but feel so very short to me.
Tailbone will be a familiar comfort, but knee is still a bit off. Sigh.

LG, your measurement thing, could you remind me, is it
starting length / current length / goal? Or starting / goal / current?
Don't you just love the creative ways of having to brush or comb it?

Jennifer, some time ago, I tried to log into the LHC, but it would
not work. All of my old posts are there under the same name, but
I can't log in. Can you help? Many thanks!

 Karen Marie

Holy freakin' cow! Is that really you Karen Marie? I'm so glad you decided to pop in again. I've thought of you many times. Sometimes in regards to hair and your infamous bee butt bun and sometimes about your hollyhocks. Waistlength isn't short even tho it might feel that way after being at knee length. I'm sure it looks fabulous and I know you'll enjoy revisiting favorite styles. I just cut 5" off mine going from tailbone to just below waist. I'm probably on my way back to tailbone but who knows. I'm just so happy to see you again. :whoohoo: Jumps up and down happily.

I'm glad you checked in!

Every time I see news about Oklahoma (usually weather-related), I think about you.

Karen Marie! It is great to see you here! Don't feel bad about the cut back to waist. You said that knee length was your goal. So staying at knee would have ended the journey. This way you get to revisit lengths from wasit to knee and I'm sure you'll learn tons of new things about your hair --products, updos, etc. Also, don't miss out on the enjoyment of wearing it down at waist. While still beautiful it isn't as unusual, so you won't have to deal with all the stares, not to mention it catching on so many things. Waist length has its own perks.. you can still flip it at waist, and can sit without holding it, hair can move in front and behind you. Think big dangle earrings!

I'm also glad to see stressless tresses is back up. I've always thought your beebutt bun was thudworthy.
